Tony Khan traded jabs with CM Punk on Twitter and later went at it with Randy Orton after “The Viper” got involved in the social media war of words.
CM Punk’s Tweet hyping tonight’s new episode of WWE Backstage started things off on Monday afternoon after he tagged Khan in the post and talked about how “no one is safe” from his critique on the show. Khan shot back at Punk and said that it sounds more like a plane full of WWE wrestlers in Saudi Arabia.
Orton then added himself to the mix by bringing up an old story about past allegations made against Khan’s father, Jaguars owner Shahid Khan. Tony not only said the story had since been proven false, but brought up Orton’s habit of mentioning AEW when he was renegotiating a WWE contract this summer, and Orton’s use of the N-word on a Twitch gaming stream this summer. (Orton was featured on a Twitch channel last month playing Call Of Duty online. He praised AEW’s Sammy Guevara during the broadcast, but the video was later removed from the channel due to Orton’s use of the word.)
I thought you only tagged me in your posts when you were grasping for leverage. That article’s over a year old + is about baseless claims made about my dad years ago. That’s the best you can do, nothing. Meanwhile in the time since that was written, you used the N word on twitch.

Following this, Charlotte Flair, Brandi Rhodes and others chimed in on the battle, but Orton had the final comment of the evening late last night. Orton referred to former TNA owner Dixie Carter when he referred to Tony as “Jacksonville Dixie” and said if he really wanted to negotiate with AEW, he would have called Tony’s Dad.
Jacksonville Dixie:
Why else would I tag you? If I wanted to talk business, I’d call your father.
