It’s official—WWE Crown Jewel will feature two huge matches that have crossover appeal to MMA, boxing and pro wrestling fans.
Today’s WWE media event in Las Vegas featured the announcement that Brock Lesnar versus Cain Velasquez and Tyson Fury versus Braun Strowman would take place at WWE Crown Jewel on October 31 in Saudi Arabia.
Triple H opened the event by talking about how the region will be host to several events over the next few years, and WWE would reinvent the term “sports entertainment” once again. After a highlights package, Triple H confirmed both matchups, and Michael Cole took the stage to introduce the competitors and special guest speakers.
Three matches have been confirmed for Crown Jewel so far; Team Hogan (Seth Rollins, Rusev, TBA, TBA, and TBA) vs. Team Flair (Randy Orton, King Corbin, TBA, TBA, and TBA) is the other matchup set for show in Ridayh, Saudi Arabia.
