AND NEW!
Rush is the new Ring Of Honor World Champion after he defeated Matt Taven at Death Before Dishonor in Las Vegas tonight.
The conclusion of the match saw Taven connect with a running knee and the Climax for a near fall. The competitors exchanged strikes, then Rush suplexed Taven before Taven speared Rush. Taven followed with another three running knee strikes, but Rush countered another Climax with the Bull’s Horns twice for the win. After the match, RUSH celebrated with his family and Taven shook the new champion’s hand.
This is Rush’s first ROH World Championship reign, and first championship win in Ring Of Honor. Taven’s lone ROH world title reign ends at 174 days, after he defeated Jay Lethal (and Marty Scurll) to win the title at G1 Supercard in Madison Square Garden in April.
