Britt Baker On Balancing Her Two Careers & Being Recognized, Who She Studies In The Ring

Britt Baker took part in a media scrum at Starrcast and was asked about All Elite Wrestling going live on TNT next month, and she explained her feelings heading into the October 2 debut, balancing her two careers and more.

Is there something you’d want to work on in your wrestling style?

Sarah Stock, she’s a producer and an agent for WWE, tremendous wrestler, she did so much amazing work in Japan and Mexico. I study her more than anybody now, she’s great.

What is it like being a wrestler in this tumultuous time period?

It’s really exciting because I feel like we’re in the position that everybody wants to be. Everybody wants to be a part of something that’s new and fresh. Everybody wants to write the history books. For us, that’s the position we’re in and we have nowhere to go but up. Yeah, you’re taking a risk, but it’s a fun one and an exciting one. I’m in the best position I could ever be in, and all I can tell my friends who are jealous is “Hey, sorry!”

Are any of your dental patients recognizing you because of AEW?

Yeah, a lot. A lot more recently too. People come in and say they’re wrestling fans. Even in the locker room or people will call me “Hey, I have a dental question real quick.” I love it though, I love it when they crossover, it lets me flaunt my intelligence a little bit. It’s rewarding, I love it.

How do you balance dental work with professional wrestling?

You just can’t think about it. It’s more of a don’t think, just do thing. When I wake up in the morning, I know I have to do this, this, this and this. It has to get done and that’s what you do. You have to wake up, go to the office, do any after office paperwork, you have to go to the gym, you have to train and train, you eat, you get a little bit of sleep and then you do it again. You can’t really stress and freak yourself out with everything there is to do, you just have to say “Hey, you have to do it, I’m going to do it, that’s it.”
