Kylie Rae is no longer part of the All Elite Wrestling roster after she asked for her release, according to Tony Khan.
Khan took part in a post-show media scrum after AEW All Out in Chicago, and he was asked about Kylie’s status. Khan says she asked for a release and they granted it, and called it a simple transition and and “amicable” split.
Kylie Rae had been noticeably absent from All Elite Wrestling events and programming, but it’s still unknown as to why she was not being featured on their shows. According to a report from a July edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Kylie’s situation is due to an undisclosed medical issue. It was noted that it has been kept quiet, but she was expected back ‘soon.’
Kylie was originally scheduled to compete in a match against Leva Bates at Fyter Fest on the ‘Buy In’ pre-show in June, but she was replaced in the bout by Allie. She did compete at AEW’s Double Or Nothing event in Las Vegas in May; Britt Baker defeated Kylie, Nyla Rose and Awesome Kong in a fatal four way match. Khan did not elaborate any further as to why Kylie asked for her release.
