KENTA is the new NEVER Openweight Champion after defeating Tomohiro Ishii at New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Royal Quest event today.
KENTA ended up winning the bout after hitting Ishii with the Go To Sleep, which was set up after the Guerrillas Of Destiny interfered and hit Ishii with the Magic Killer. This is KENTA’s first reign as champion; Ishii’s fifth reign ends at 83 days.
