Fans at Evolve 133 were in for a treat tonight, as Matt Riddle took down Josh Briggs in a match that saw Riddle mocking Goldberg. During the match, fans began to chant the legendary superstar’s name, and as a result, Riddle actually landed a Jackhammer on Briggs. Riddle had previously said that he’d like to use Goldberg’s Jackhammer as a move, but rename it to the “Brohammer,” and it looks like this was the perfect time for him to do so. Later in the match, he was able to defeat Briggs thanks to his patented Bromission, and continue racking up victories in his rising career.
The Skulk were able to retain their EVOLVE World Tag Team Championships at Evolve 133, fending off The Unwatched (Joe Gacy & Sean Maluta) in a match that had it all. At the end to the day, however, it was Leon Ruff who landed a Ruff Landing on Maluta, and pinned him for the victory. With the win, The Skulk will keep their title, and continue looking to defend it in against the very best.
