Tonight’s SmackDown Live finished up with a huge match between Kofi Kingston and AJ Styles, showing off two of the biggest stars the brand has to offer. With the New Day and The OC watching from the side, it was Kingston and Styles who were able to put on a show, but the reigning WWE Champion managed to come away with the victory after some last-minute chaos from the outside.

After Kingston and Styles spent most of the contest fairly evenly matched, Styles looked to begin pulling away. Thanks to Kingston being stopped a handful of times by threatening glances from the OC outside the ring, Styles was able to land a couple of good shots on Kingston. However, after landing a punch and knocking Kingston back, Styles himself was distracted by Big E and Xavier Woods taking down both members of The OC outside of the ring, and when Styles dove into the ring to try, he was met with a Trouble in Paradise. With Styles knocked out, Kingston pinned him for the clean victory, showing once again why he has what it takes to be a champion.
