At WWE Extreme Rules, Becky Lynch retained the RAW Women’s Championship when she and Seth Rollins defeated Lacey Evans and Baron Corbin. On RAW this week, an elimination fatal-4 way determined a new contender for Lynch’s title. Alexa Bliss (who unsuccessfully challenged Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Extreme Rules) faced Naomi, Natalya and Carmella. With Lynch looking on at ringside, Natalya survived the match, made Bliss tap to the Sharpshooter and earned a title match at SummerSlam. After the match, Lynch said she won’t be Natalya’s friend at SummerSlam and says the Man is what Natalya’s career needs. The two women continued to exchanged insults.

Naomi started the match against Natalya; Carmella and Bliss took their time getting involved in the contest. Once Carmella entered the match, Bliss continued to hide, with Nikki Cross, at ringside. Carmella showcased her athleticism and took Naomi down with a hurricanrana. Bliss finally got involved and rolled up Carmella to eliminate her from the match. Naomi took control and got a near fall on Bliss after a stiff kick. A blockbuster off the steps from Naomi planted Natalya on the floor. Bliss continued to use various strategies in attempts to eliminate the competition.
Eventually, Naomi eliminated Natalya and the match came down to Bliss and Naomi. Cross grabbed a microphone and told the crowd to shut up. Natalya unintentionally took Cross down with a discus clothesline and she made Bliss tap to the Sharpshooter.
