Without Kofi Kingston by their side, the New Day made their way to the ring during tonight’s SmackDown live to discuss the possibilities of winning the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships this weekend. With their triple threat tag team match coming up, the fan-favorite duo teased the possibilities of winning the belts and becoming six-time champions, and sharing their celebrations with Kingston.
Of course, the current tag team champions – Daniel Bryan and Rowan – were quick to interrupt, calling the duo stupid and noting that they weren’t smart enough to crack the top billing of the WWE. As they continued to insult the duo and the rest of the tag team division in SmackDown, Heavy Machinery, the third duo wrestling for the titles, emerged.

Both Otis and Tucker also had words for both groups, with Tucker saying even though they like New Day, they were going to come away as champions on Sunday. After the summit of tag team groups, Otis, Bryan, and Xavier Woods all prepared for a triple threat match. In the match, all three superstars showed what they were made of, but it was Otis who absolutely dominated, and was able to manhandle both competitors en route to a victory.
