As announced by Universal, John Cena will be joining the cast of “Fast & Furious 9.” Series’ star Vin Diesel teased the news earlier on Instagram. The studio hasn’t gone into detail on who Cena will play but Deadline has been told that he will play “a badass.”
While he’s a big addition to the film franchise, one familiar face won’t be there. Deadline said that The Rock will not be returning in the film. Production on the ninth entry will begin later this month and the movie is set to release on May 22, 2020
