Former Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight and middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre announced his retirement from mixed martial arts earlier this year. However, it doesn’t appear that he’ll be going to pro wrestling. According to the fighter, WWE officials approached him at the ESPN Sports Awards and asked if he would be willing to wrestle for them.
St-Pierre told TVA Sports that while he wouldn’t mind doing a one-off event in order to see what it is like, he is happy with retirement and doesn’t want to do it full-time. He said that no negotiations are currently underway, but that the WWE has his agents’ information if they do want to get in touch.
