Despite some sites reporting that WWE shares “dropped” in light of the Last Week Tonight piece highlighting their exploitation of wrestlers as independent contractors, that isn’t the case. In fact, it’s quite literally fake news.
The WWE stock today closed at $87.20 per share. That’s well above the previous close of $86.68 and where it opened, $86.95. That’s an increase of 51 cents, not a drop at all.
As always, the stock market prices fluctuate throughout the day and should only be measured when it actually closes for the day at 4 p.m. ET.
