XFL Rival League Might Already Be Folding
It looks like the XFL’s rival startup league, who kicked off earlier this year, the Alliance of American Football (AAF), is in danger of folding. Majority owner Tom Dundon told USA Today that, if the league is unable to reach an agreement with the NFL PA to use young players from the NFL, they can not be a developmental league for the NFL.
If that’s the case, the AAF will have to look at several options, including closing up shop. As for the XFL, they’re scheduled to kick off their inaugural season in 2020 after the Super Bowl. Cities with teams for the first season include Washington D.C., New York City, Los Angeles, Houston, St. Louis, Seattle, Dallas, and Tampa.
