AJ Styles could be staying on with the house that Vince McMahon built according to a report by PWInsider.com.
As of now, WWE live events overseas in May advertise a clash between the Phenomenal One and Samoa Joe. AJ’s most recent contract was set to come up in April of this year. While the deal is not 100% confirmed, several of PWInsider’s sources seem to believe that both parties are happy with the new arrangements and it’s possible that ink has already hit the paper.
If AJ Styles didn’t resign with WWE, it’s obvious he would have a home in AEW. AJ was one of the original leaders of the Bullet Club in NJPW before signing with WWE, having legendary matches with Shinsuke Nakamura and Kazuchika Okada. He’d be highly sought after by Cody Rhodes were he ever to become a free agent.
After dropping the WWE Championship to Daniel Bryan on November 13th, AJ has focused his attention on Randy Orton on SmackDown. Per their heated promo this past week, Styles and Orton are set to clash at WrestleMania 35.
