The Revival Win WWE RAW Tag Team Titles From Gable & Roode

Since they earned a title shot last week, The Revival got a shot at Bobby Roode and Chad Gable’s RAW Tag Team Championship on tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW. It may have not been their third attempt, but it did wind up being the charm for the team as they finally captured tag team gold. This comes after the duo had expressed unhappiness behind the scenes and reportedly requested their release.

It was a great match with both teams showcasing their skills. The Revival showed technical brilliance in spots, but it was Roode & Gable’s acrobatics and intensity that delivered some of the bigger spots throughout. However, The Revival’s tag team prowess was shown as they cut off the ring and isolated Roode for plenty of the match.

Eventually, Roode found his partner and Gable took advantage of the hot tag. He wound up gaining an edge on both members of the team and delivered an impressive delayed bridging german suplex. The Revival would work themselves back into the bout through their craftiness. After preventing a tag, they managed to perform a double team move on Gable. It looked like it was done, but Gable powered through the pin attempt.

When the action returned after a commercial break, Roode was on the offensive after getting tagged in. He took out both members of The Revival and delivered a nasty spinebuster to Dash Wilder that resulted in a two count. He was about to deliver his finisher but was distracted by Scott Dawson. The Revival got a facebuster after a tag, but it still wasn’t enough for a pinfall. They grew increasingly frustrated and it looked like Gable had the win until it was broken up by Dawson. The intense match continued with near falls as a diving double team move of their own was broken up after Roode plowed Wilder into his partner. The finish finally came after The Revival delivered a Shatter Machine for the win.
