Over at PWInsider Elite, Mike Johnson revealed new information on the signings of Abyss and Sonjay Dutt. The former IMPACT Wrestling talent were expected to reunite with Jeremy Borash in NXT, but that isn’t the case. Instead, they’ll be working on the main roster.
While both are capable wrestlers in their own right, and Dutt was one of the key creative figures in IMPACT, they are both being targeted at becoming producers for the main roster. It’s said that they might go to NXT initially in order to become familiar with WWE’s structure, but they’ll be moved up afterwards.
Johnson notes that WWE are looking to sign other producers as well. So, this might not be the last signing.
