Update On When The Revival’s WWE Deal Expires, #FTR Trademark

On a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio,  host Dave Meltzer talked about the recent Revival reports. According to recent reportsScott Dawson and Dash Wilder recently asked for their WWE release due at least in part to how the company treats the tag division as a whole. Thing apparently came to a boiling point after the RAW Tag Team Championships weren’t even featured on last week’s episode of RAW.

The team’s apparent disgruntlement has lead to rumors and plenty of speculation that The Revival would be a perfect fit for the new All Elite Wrestling league. There is; however, a major obstacle in their way. The duo are signed to WWE contracts that, according to Dave Meltzer, do not expire until 2020.

The duo continue to work WWE live events and recently wrestled at the RAW house show in Abilene, TX in a losing effort against RAW Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode & Chad Gable.

Meltzer also added that Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder trademarked the #FTR hashtag on January 1st. The hashtag (Forever The Revival, Fix The Revival, F*ck The Revival) was a Young Bucks invention and used as banter between the two teams on Twitter. The Revival recently wore the #FTR hashtag on the back of their trunks during a recent episode of RAW. Meltzer also noted that the trademark isn’t a coincidence and that the team has been contemplating leaving the WWE for quite some time.
