Jay White Stakes His Claim In NJPW: ‘I’m Still Here’
From Kenny Omega, to Cody, to The Young Buck and to (eventually) KUSHIDA, a good deal of New Japan’s top talent is exiting from the company, but there is one man that remains with a Switchblade on his shoulder, and that’s new Bullet Club leader, Jay White. The National Wrestling Alliance brought back the NWA National Championship at #NWA70 where it was won by Willie Mack.
Willie Mack first caught the attention of the NWA in his match vs. Cody for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. In his fight for Ten Pounds of Gold, Willie’s story and drive for wrestling inspired fans to root for this underdog.
The night he won the NWA National Championship, he defeated Samuel Shaw in the finals. This match from Milestone at Championship Wrestling From Hollywood is the rematch.
