Ring of Honor’s Final Battle pay-per-view made it look like Christopher Daniels had wrestled his last match for the company, but their television taping the day later showed that he had earned a new contract if he wants it. The reason for why the creative direction seems so up in the air is for a good reason since his real life contract is in flux as well. As it stands right now, Daniels is currently a free agent according to this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required).
There are two potential destinations for Daniels at the moment. One would be working for All Elite Wrestling, while the other would be re-signing with Ring of Honor. He hasn’t made a choice yet, and is currently taking bookings for independent shows (something his previous contract didn’t allow).
