According to a report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks of The Elite faction turned down seven-figure contracts from the WWE.
Specifically described by Meltzer as “main event money,” this aligns with Cody’s claim in Australia that he turned down a big money offer from WWE a few weeks ago.
Of course, this is all expected to lead to All Elite Wrestling, a brand new promotion in association with the Khan family that own the Jacksonville Jaguars. On the latest edition of Being The Elite, they added SoCal Uncensored to the crew of guys with a countdown clock on their phone all leading to January 1st.
