With TLC a mere few days away, the Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy and challenger for this Sunday, Cedric Alexander, look to prep themselves in action. Murphy would face off against “The King of the Ropes” Gran Metallik and Alexander will aim to avenge another loss against Murphy’s tag partner, Tony Nese.
Buddy Murphy vs. Gran Metallik
The WWE Cruiserweight Champion was originally scheduled to fave Noam Dar, but Dar was unable to compete due to injury. Metallik would accept Murphy’s open challenge to receive an opportunity to usurp the champ. Metallik would get the jump on Murphy with a tope early in the match and using the barricade to his aerial advantage.

Murphy would counter with his strength and ferocity, holding the match in control against the Luch House Party member. Metallik would battle back with an offensive flurry, but Murphy did not stop his assault, putting him away with Murphy’s Law in an incredible looking counter.

Brian Kendrick and Akira Tozawa were shown backstage with 205 Live general manager, Drake Maverick. Maverick announced to them that their tag team match next week against Drew Gulak and Jack Gallaher will be contested in a street fight. While Kendrick insisted that he is now a changed man, Tozawa says that Kendrick still looks the same and had an idea.

Cedric Alexander vs. Tony Nese
Over the last month, Alexander has been on the road to redemption ever since losing the Cruiserweight Championship to Buddy Murphy at WWE Super ShowDown. The biggest hurdle was “The Premier Athlete” Tony Nese, who defeated Alexander on two occasions. A refocused Cedric steadily picked momentum up after defeating Lio Rush and then pinning Murphy in a tag match, regaining his confidence in receiving his title rematch. Alexander was quick to attack, rolling quickly against his rival before Nese caught him with a chop to the throat.
