Harry D.H. Smith announced on Twitter earlier this morning that Tom “The Dynamite Kid” Billington passed away at the age of 60. Kid was apart of The British Bulldogs tag team with Davey Boy Smith that competed in Stampede Wrestling, New Japan, All Japan and WWE. Billington was a tremendous influence on a lot of junior heavyweight and cruiserweights throughout the years, not just in British wrestling, but worldwide. Below are thoughts, prayers and condolences from colleagues and wrestling talent from around the globe, which WrestleZone will be updating throughout the day.

Rest In Peace, Dynamite Kid Tom Billington. One of the most outstanding technical wrestlers and scrappiest junior heavyweights in the game.

Other than a brief meeting I didn’t know Tom Billington, but the Dynamite Kid was an absolute game changer in wrestling. Technically and mechanically he ranks as one of the best ever.

Saddened to hear about the passing of Dynamite Kid. There was a time I watched every Dynamite match I could get my hands on including this tribute video countless times. Despite many attempts of re-creating his magic I would never come close. https://t.co/OzLSl4JCW7 via @YouTube
