WWE has announced that Stone Cold Steve Austin will be narrating the start of NASCAR’s Texas playoff race, with rumours persisting regarding a potential return to WWE.
If you’re a NASCAR fan, you might hear a familiar, gravelly voice welcoming you to their Texas Cup series this weekend: “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
The WWE Hall of Famer and proud Texas native has recorded a voiceover for the opening package to NASCAR’s series in The Lone Star State, and NBC has released an early look at the clip, featuring the dulcet tones of The Texas Rattlesnake. So, take a drive to No Limits, Texas (perhaps adjacent to 316 Gimmick St.), or tune in to NBC SN this Saturday at 2 p.m. ET for the start of coverage, and let Ol’ “Stone Cold” carry you to the checkered flag.
