The New Day put their SmackDown Tag Team Championship on the line at SmackDown 1000, but weren’t able to successfully defend. The competitive match against Sheamus and Cesaro was going well until a surprise element interfered: Big Show.
After walking down to the ring, Big Show chokeslammed Kofi Kingston into a table. This heel turn and the ensuing distraction allowed The Bar to get an upset victory for their fifth reign as tag team champs.
