Evolution made their heavily hyped appearance at SmackDown 1000 tonight. Batista, Triple H, Randy Orton, and Ric Flair were all well-received by the excited crowd. However, the Evolution SmackDown 1000 return eventually got tense.

Batista said that the last place he wanted to be was here with a microphone in his hand, and decided to tell the audience four things. 1) He wanted to be here tonight for SmackDown 1000, which is a brand he helped build. 2) It’s in his hometown of Washington, D.C.. 3) He wanted to see all of the fans, whether they cheered or called him “Bluetista” because he loves them. 4) He wanted to see his former teammates.
While talking about his former teammates, Batista eventually got to his mentor Triple H. That’s when things got complicated. After running down his accolades and saying that “this man is the business,” he said there’s only one thing that Triple H hasn’t done: beat Batista.
The pair eventually hugged before having a brief, yet tense staredown to end the segment.
This got REAL tense REAL quick.
