IMPACT Wrestling President Ed Nordholm was on the Sitting Ringside with David Penzer podcast, and he finally gave us a concrete answer as to what the mysterious meeting between WWE and IMPACT officials was about. While many speculated that it was about a potential sale, that isn’t the case according to Nordholm.
Instead, the WWE and IMPACT meeting was mainly about the two sides opening up to each other so regular dialogues between the two can occur in the future. Nordholm did reveal that the two did discuss IMPACT’s content as well, particularly that the WWE wants to access some of its content for the WWE Network. It remains to be seen how this will manifest in the future, but it’s certainly good to see both companies cooperating and being cordial with each other. That will only help fuel a better future for professional wrestling.
