In the conclusion of their historic rivalry and Sasha Banks’ NXT run, Bayley defended the NXT Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks in the main event of NXT Takeover: Respect. The two would face off in an Iron Man match in what was both the first-ever Iron Man match in WWE history as well as the first WWE special to ever be main evented by women.
The two told an outstanding story with Sasha’s ruthlessness as The Boss and Bayley’s relentlessness as the underdog. It was a fitting conclusion to the Horsewomen-era of NXT and the dawn of a new one.
