It’s sometimes hard to believe that this wasn’t a WrestleMania main event. One month prior to the grandest stage of them all, Undertaker challenged Kurt Angle for the World Heavyweight Championship.
The Undertaker returned at Royal Rumble in a chariot and instantly made his intentions known to Kurt Angle. They would face off in a 30-minute instant classic that saw the two bring the best out of each other.
It’s no surprise as the two were also in a mature stage of their career where their skills in the ring were polished, making them among the world’s best. They certainly proved why in the ring when they put out a match for the ages.
Kurt Angle ended up picking up the victory and the two went their separate ways, but this is one great match that surprisingly goes under the radar.
