Stephanie’s feud with Vince McMahon was divided into two parts over the course of four years. The first part was when Triple H was beginning a rapid rise to the top. When doing so, he drugged and married Stephanie McMahon, which led to Vince feuding with him to save the day.
They had a match at Armaggedon in 1999 where Vince’s victory would mean that Triple H’s marriage to Stephanie would be annulled. The twist came when Stephanie turned on her own father, aligning with Triple H and kickstarting the McMahon-Helmsley faction.
The second part of their rivalry was in 2003 when Stephanie, the SmackDown GM clashed with Vince McMahon over a decision to book Brock Lesnar vs The Undertaker. Believe it or not, the two would end up having an “I Quit” match that year, which Vince McMahon one, leading Stephanie McMahon to lose her GM role.
