#2.) Colossal face turn – WrestleMania VI

André The Giant had been a heel for years, but as the years would pass his health would rapidly deteriorate. His importance, however, didn’t. He was tag team champions in 1990 along with Haku, dubbed as The Colossal Connection. Managed by Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, the two would take on Demolition. After the popular young team of Ax and Smash regained the tag team titles at WrestleMania, Bobby Heenan was furious at André.

He screamed and shouted at him and even slapped him, which led André to say “enough is enough”. In front of a crazy 67,000 fans, André would snap and turn on Heenan, beating him down and even beating down Haku, turning face for the first time in years.

It would be his last televised match for the WWE, and in his final in-ring TV appearance for the company, he got a hero’s farewell, with WWE giving the fans one final glimpse of the André they loved and knew.
