Remember when we said that Vince McMahon Sr. didn’t like wrestlers crossing over to Hollywood? He didn’t approve of Hulk Hogan’s famous cameo appearance in Rocky III and it was exactly what shot him into superstardom. He played an antagonist named Thunderlips who ragdolled Rocky Balboa and caused a whole lot of trouble.
Not too long after, Vince K. McMahon took over and saw Hogan as a big-money star, signing him on and turning him into the face of the franchise – thus beginning a new era for the pro wrestling industry.
