One of the greatest heels of all time, Roberts made his name using ruthlessness and the most incredible wrestling psychology that you will ever see. Young wrestlers are always told to look at Roberts’ promos and his incredible heelwork.
He was once scheduled for a big World title program with Hulk Hogan but got so over that fans began cheering him and the angle was scrapped altogether. He never won a Championship in WWE but never needed to. Roberts himself addressed it, stating that the title is merely a prop in telling a story. In many ways, that still holds true.
