In 2008, WWE Champion and RAW superstar Triple H defeated SmackDown’s Mark Henry to earn RAW the right to choose the first draft pick. Fans were pleasantly surprised when they learned that Rey Mysterio would become the first draft pick for RAW. It was a shock because prior to that, Mysterio was a SmackDown star through and through.
He got an incredible ovation as he was unveiled as RAW’s newest superstar.
