The King of the Ring is one of the most prestigious tournaments in WWE history. While it isn’t a championship in itself, the legacy and lineage of it speaks volumes and goes to show that it was a position and a crown worn by the select best few superstars. While there have undoubtedly been a few underwhelming winners over the years, WWE used to do a great job with regards to how it would push the winner on the long run.
