The culmination of Shawn Michaels’ journey saw him receive a major coronation at WrestleMania 12. He had to go through his bitter rival Bret Hart in a 60-minute Iron Man Match to reach the summit, but he managed to do so in style. The two went a full hour without scoring a single pinfall, but in overtime, Michaels managed to finish his rival and win his first-ever World Championship.
It was here when the call saying “The boyhood dream has come true” was made. While many consider this match to be an overrated one, it was still a good technical classic. However, there have been better Iron Man matches.
