
#4.) They don’t have a weekly schedule like WWE
WWE’s schedule is one of the most gruelling kinds. They’re on the road week-in and week-out and get very few days off as a whole. However, for NJPW superstars, the format is a bit different. Rather than having a standard weekly show, NJPW usually has a bi-weekly kind of program that builds to a PPV. They’re called “Road to” shows and they usually involve lower-stakes matches, mostly tag team ones.
They also follow up with some live event tours as well, but superstars are generally allowed to rest up prior to a tour.
