#4.) John Cena
It almost feels criminal putting John Cena so high up on the list. While he has been getting the acknowledgment and respect he deserves for the past few years, it’s surprising that it took so long for fans to realize his true value. It’s crazy because out of all of the great world champions, nobody was able to carry the company on their shoulders for a full decade the way Cena did.
He was the front and central figure as the company turned PG and he became one of the biggest names in WWE history. His contributions simply can’t be dismissed and his first WWE Championship reign came at WrestleMania 21 when he defeated JBL in the culmination of an incredible run on SmackDown.
From there, Cena would move over to RAW a few months later, where he officially cemented himself as the face of the company. Even though he did become a polarizing figure, his importance simply can’t be understated.
