#2.) Triple H vs Shawn Michaels vs Chris Benoit – WrestleMania XX
The main event of WrestleMania XX saw Triple H defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Royal Rumble winner Chris Benoit as well as Shawn Michaels, who forcefully inserted himself in the match, desperate to get revenge on Triple H. It was a great storyline and a great main event at Madison Square Garden.
Fitting for a WrestleMania story, Benoit played a great underdog who fans wanted to see win. In the end, he did triumph and end the night as World Heavyweight Champion, celebrating with Eddie Guerrero (who had retained the WWE title earlier in the night). It was a beautiful moment at the time, now tainted by the fact that both of them are no longer in this world.
