#5.) Triple H vs Cactus Jack – Royal Rumble

Imagine the quality of matches in 2000 if this match is fifth on the list? The storyline was a perfect mix of drama violence. With Triple H and Stephanie McMahon as the on-screen co-owners of WWE, their abuse of power led to The Rock and Mick Foley being forced to face The Rock and being fired for not going through with the “orders” given.

The Rock did fight back for Foley, threatening a locker-room walk-out if Foley wasn’t reinstated. The returning Foley challenged Triple H for the WWE title in a Street Fight, as The Game had won it in the turn of 2000. All roads led to the Rumble, where Foley, as Cactus Jack would face Triple H for the WWE Championship.

It was an incredibly close contest which ended with Foley eating a pedigree on scattered thumb-tacks.
