#4.) Bret Hart
Interestingly enough, Bret Hart never had any long title reigns out of all five of his United States Championship victories. Though they were short in nature, they certainly were incredible reigns where he defended the title against the best of the best. While it could be argued that Hart should have had longer reigns with the title, his success with the United States title is considered to be a more defining part of his WCW run than his runs with the World title.
Either way, Hart elevated the status of the titles and took it to a whole new level in the midst of the Monday Night Wars in the late 90s.
