The only reason why Ric Flair isn’t higher up on the list is that throughout his career, he was never really a “WWE guy”, despite having quite a few years under his belt with the company. Regardless, Ric Flair is one of the greatest to ever lace a pair of boots, WWE or outside and there was nobody who possessed the charisma that he did and nobody who could talk like he did.
His promos had an edge of insanity about them but he used it so well to present his character and that’s why he became such an icon of the business. His promos had the ability to get messages across loud and clear. He’s by far the greatest trash talker in wrestling history, because fans wanted to see him get beaten up, yet they wanted to be him because of all that he had. And Flair certainly backed it up!
