We have to put Paige on this list, not just because she’s the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion, but because she changed the landscape of women’s wrestling in WWE. She belonged to the first real crop of female talent who transitioned from FCW to NXT and under Sara Amato‘s incredible tutelage, really came to her own as a performer.
She was called the “Anti-Diva” and she really was something special at the time. Her run was a good one, and like Asuka, she would never lose the title, rather vacating it upon her main roster call-up and Divas Championship victory.
