You might be surprised as to why a 5-minute match makes it so high up on this list, but there are a couple of good reasons for that. For one, it was redemption for both Goldberg and Lesnar. 13 years prior, they had a WrestleMania encounter, one that should have been great, but was the complete opposite of it. Both of them were departing the company after the match, and fans knew it, booing them throughout the match.
Neither superstar was motivated, but in 2017, with the two a lot older and wiser, things were different. This was a Universal Championship encounter, with Brock Lesnar looking to avenge his past two defeats to Goldberg. Fans wondered how the match would go, and they got their answer in one that blew their expectations away. The match was absolute madness and chaos from bell to bell, with neither performer taking a breather. From multiple F-5s, to a Jackhammer to a spear through the barricade and more, the chaotic bout saw Goldberg lose clean for the first time ever, with The Beast Incarnate retiring his old rival.
