Edge is truly one of the all-time greats, and it’s rare that someone on his level ends up retiring as World Champion. But that’s a privilege that The Rated-R Superstar had earned. His final-ever match was against Royal Rumble 2011 winner Alberto Del Rio in the WrestleMania 27 opener.
In a very good but quick match, Edge would defeat Del Rio to retain his World Heavyweight Championship, after which he proceeded to destroy his expensive Rolls Royce car. Edge would retire not long after in tragic fashion, but even then, he got to go out in one of the best ways possible.
