#1.) The right people went over
One of the biggest things that affects WWE’s booking, or rather gives them a lot of criticism, is who goes over during matches. However, in the Royal Rumble, pretty much every match had the right people going over. Sure, we would have loved to see Finn Balor dethrone Brock Lesnar, but atleast he got to look good in defeat and took the fight to the Universal Champion.
WWE has plans in place, and that simply doesn’t have Balor in the Universal title picture yet. His time will come, eventually.
