The sad reality is that this moment, one of the greatest in wrestling history, will always be tainted by the events of 2007. However, at the time, there was nothing better. Guerrero and Chris Benoit both won their WrestleMania world title matches, and after Benoit was celebrating in the main event, he saw Guerrero in the ring with him.
Both men had a long history together. Years of friendship, years on the road together, years of blood, sweat, and tears, all for that moment. It was the culmination of an incredible journey, and Guerrero and Benoit would have a historic night, standing tall at the end of the biggest wrestling event of the year.
