#2.) The cowboy gimmick
Can you imagine Bret Hart being anything other than The Hitman? Well, when he entered WWF in the early 80s, WWE officials pitched to him the idea of his gimmick being that of a cowboy. He would be called “Cowboy” Bret Hart. He instantly shot down this idea, and rightfully so. He reportedly said “If you called yourself a cowboy, you’d better be one”
Can you imagine how things would have turned out had he been a cowboy? A lot of historic events in WWE wouldn’t have gone down. There may not have even been an Attitude Era in the first place!
