#4.) Overcame “The land of the giants”
WWF was known as “The Land of the Giants”, and it was clear that you needed to have a very specific build in order to become a top star. However, Bret Hart wasn’t extremely tall like Hogan was, nor was he as muscular and built as other superstars’ were. Hart was a little taller than the average man and he brought about a big change, in that you didn’t need to have that physical stature to get pushed.
He was perhaps the first World Champion who didn’t have an exceptional physical build. It would pave the way for wrestlers such as Shawn Michaels and more greats as time went on.
