Kenny Omega’s signing to WWE would be an even bigger deal than AJ Styles’ signing in 2016. Omega is the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion and if he doesn’t lose it at Wrestle Kingdom, there’s a high chance he won’t sign with the company. However, he could still drop it the following month and come.
Omega’s contract runs out in January 2019 and as with every year, there’s speculation. Omega is simply too big for NXT. He would need to jump straight to the main roster and it likely wouldn’t take long for him to become World Champion. The cream always rises to the crop and Omega has everything it takes to be a main eventer in WWE – the look, the character, the mic skills and the best in-ring skills on the planet.
